《古墓丽影：周年纪念》采用了增强版的“古墓丽影：传奇”引擎，将利用新的技术重新讲述劳拉·克劳馥最初的冒险故事，即寻找远古神器“Scion”，但难题更多，真实物理特性也会一一展现。

Edios高级品牌经理Kathryn Clements表示：“多年来，一直有很多现代玩家要求重新制作最初的‘古墓丽影’故事，而我们走得更远，有了这部全新的《古墓丽影：周年纪念》。我们将利用如今的新技术重新讲述那段冒险经历，再次诠释各种关键所在，并保留原作的精髓。不但系列游戏的忠实玩家可以得到新的享受，陌生的玩家也将被吸引到劳拉的世界中。”

《古墓丽影：周年纪念》目前正由Crystal Dynamics开发，将在2007年登陆PC、PS2、PSP等平台，此前还有消息说也会登陆PS3。
